second day at work was even more enjoyable. the people there are beginning to talk to me. even crack jokes! i'm glad the ice is breaking now.
i learnt abt kneading the dough for breadmaking. wow...that guy who taught me used to knead like 1000 of those dinner roll sized dough. amazingly, he used both right and left hands to 'round' the dough. each hand rounds a dough at the same time.
i was so impressed...
well, becoz i'm only a part timer there, i'm not taught the stuff on cake making...merely doing the finishing, like packing the stuff. yesterday i learnt to 'fix' the bases for the pastries.
i dun mind doing all these. each and eveyr step is crucial. i like the head chef...a small guy who works at a tremendous pace. he's an impatient man, but can't blame him for that. time = money in this industry. if u're fast, u're more 'productive'.
i learnt from him that even packing the bread pudding (i dunno what it's called), i can be fast.
this is a wonderful learning experience for myself. an insight that'll be advantageous for my future.
gotta thank my dad for helping me to get this job.
ok, time for dinner!
before i go, i had chicken curry puff and the 'bread pudding' for lunch and breakfast respectively.
ciao!
