actually i've nothing to put up today. but i juz visited, or rather, am surfing the ST website and is aw this article with th headline: "S'pore needs to make foreign talent feel at home: SM Lee".
i dun think singaporeans are making life hard for fgn talents in singapore. in fact i think fgn talents in singapore are so lucky to be here! at elast racism and discrimination's at the minimal. juz that recently all the spate over the table tennis team winning medals for singapore has reignited this fgn talent issue.
i dun blame singaporeans for vocing out their concerns. i'm disturbed by the govt's response. i'm for fgn talents. but the govt has to take into consideration that when we take in fgn talents, we 're supposed to learn from them. however, from the current outlook, we seem to be 'buying" them off the rack to help us attain certain results. this is not wat we want. we want to learn from them, work with them but pls, create the a conducive envmt for us (singaporeans) too. if the govt's the Father, then we're the children. no kid wanna be neglected by his/her parents. enlarge this microscopic picture to the societal level. it is crucial that we, singaporeans, gain from the fgn talents. the point is, we're not gaining much, we 're 'using' these talents to gain glory for us and that's why people are raising qns today.
