wanted to post an entry last night but chatted with my cousin online. anyway, i'm still down with flu. feeling a little drowsy now. i miss work actually. i miss learning new stuff!!! i miss swimming, i miss tennis....god...so much things i miss right now!!!
hate to fall sick. i look pale now. damn!!!! like a ghost.
read the papers this morn...we're still so happy that we've bagged a gold medal in the commonwealth games. dun udnerstand why we're so happy when our adopted foreign talents won it for us.
i'm not agst foreign talents coming to this place. in fact, we need them to keep the competition going. only then we can improve. but....we're not getting them here to play for our country and win medals for us. i remember reading from the papers abt a week or 2 ago, this fella wrote in and said that 'win or lose is immaterial'. what is more important is our pride and dignity.
wonder where and how to retrieve our dignity and pride back. the biggest winner is actually the fgn talents themselves. they get the title, prize money if there's any and fame. but it's not of much credit to us. they came from another country wehre their skills have been honed and all they have to do is practise and be consistent.
sigh...we think that money can solve every trivial pblm. money can buy pple back to win medals for us....this is so embarassing!!!!! and to think we're so happy abt it!!!!
i must congratulate these players for winning, but not the country who happened to adopt them and therefore, gets the glory.
can someone brainwash our society and put us back on the right track???
