cut more mangoes today. myf ren reminded me not to cut my finger...all i cna say is that i'm not so lousy. afterall, i think i use the knife more often than anyone of reading this entry right now.
tried this new accompaniment to the soup..it's like keropok but it's made out of the bread dough topped with sesame seeds. made six trays and we saved one try for ourselves to try. chef said we must try then we know the taste and standard. it's crispy and more imptly for the health freaks, it's not deep fried. lovely!
wat else i learnt today....oh yes, coffee chocolate mousse served for the high tea in siglap. hehe..the head chef taught me and he told me that he knew that his english's not that good and sometimes we can't udnerstnad him...wah, i grabbed that oppty to say "ya ya ya. that's why i've to ask u many times then i dare to prepare the stuff." very naughty right? well, better than messing up everything wat.
then i made creme brulee but...i never got to see the outcome. everytime i learnt to make something, it's defintely udner the watchful eyes of the head chef coz he'll have to explain everything to me. so much to learn. i used to think that baking is boring but now, i've to take back those remarks. it's getting more exciting every week. even cutting mangoes is exciting. belieive me, if it's not cut the way i was taught, the mango cake won't look nice. i've seen that outcome.
it's been another greeat day! learnt so much. also, i'm blending well with the rest of my colleagues. tht's veyr impt to me. certain things i can learn from them but there are constraints too coz i've my own beliefs and values. nevertheless, the workplace is fun!
