yesterday when i went for my morning swim, i met my student's father who is a swimming instrcutor. and he told me that "the govt is shit". hmmm...he went on to say that his son (swimmer in RI) is a talented swimmer. but the govt does not treasure our local sportsmen. he went on further that if he ever gets a chance to speak to the press, he'll scold the singapore sports council. i dun exactly know wat happened but i do know that he has never been pleased with the SSC. then he said if another country pays his son to swim for that country, he told him son to go coz if singapore can do that, so can his son.
the issue of imported sportsmen in singapore was raised by him again. i dunno why i am bringing this up again. you know when joscelin won a bronze medal in the asian games, i was happy. alas! a made-in-singapore product has clinched a medal! nevertheless, kudos to penelope who came in fourth in the rowing event. it was unexpected.
i'm not in the least interested in the table tennis event coz i'll feel sore abt it.
hmmm..you know i went to teach mys ec one student this afternoon and he told me that he's worried for his english paper. i had to pyscho him using the tools that i've taught in superteen. he listened and in the end told me that he wanna join superteen.hahaha..think i can advertise for superteen liao.
i still think that its a pity i did not major in psych. myf rne told me that i shd be a life-course counsellor. there's so much things that i am intersted in right now. once u change ur attitude and be receptive, listen and reflect, there's so much exciting stuff to learn!
today's entry is going nowhere coz i dun have anything in particular to write abt. so i'm gonna sign off here. before i go, juz wanna let u know that my thumb's getting better. i'm able to wring dry a thin towel now. but eveyrday, i have to rub ointment a few times daily. that certainly helped alot.
