read a very interesting forum article in ST today. this gal, apparently from one of the unis in singapore, talked abt the education system in singapore. i thought it was good coz i've to confess that i'm biased towards it. i share the same opinion as her. she said that MOE has everything so planned for the students ehre that we have become socially engineered. that is the main reason why we lack creativity, dynamicism and entrepreneurship.
it's nice to hear that our students have performed extremly well in international competitions in MATHS. i highlighted that word on my own, not in the article.
while we can understand that singapore depends on human capital for economic survival, is there a need to go the extreme?
at this point, i ahve to say that that is a qn which has always been at the back of my head. today we're paying for the price of all these beautifully well-planned policies.if u sought to have a hand in every single thing, right to the nitty gritty details, then the society is msot likely robotised.
how the heck u get vibrancy? blame the pple? hello, govt is our FATHER. if u dun listen to them, out u go.
