yesterday dunno wat happened to the blogsite. cldn't log in to say my piece. it's my 4th day here and i'm getting on well. very comfortable living with paul and helen,plus their mum. i am indeed very lucky to have them with me.
since my classes start next week, i'm gonna look ard this place. went to th city, paddy's mrket. took a bus down. stupid bus driver told me it's two stops after railway square. basket! is at all the way to queen victoria building!!! that's their last stop. then i had to walk back under the sweltering heat. mind u, it was 42 degree celsius here. luckily i had some sense to wear shorts and t-shirt to town. who cares abt dressing up in sydney. make sure u dun get heat stroke. it's one of the worst day so far, i was told by my landlord abt the weather.
anyway, the stuff at paddy's mkt was pretty cheap. but didn't get anything. as usual ur fren here went to buy her oriental products. chinatown was juz outside and ard paddy' mkt. i bought my chinese sausages! yum yum...had it for dinner, made steamed egg in a souffle cup! so nice.....then i bought dried shrimps...wah $30 per kg! i bought abt 100g. cannot afford more. bought shiitake mushrooms (dried) at $5 for one big pkt!! couldn't find my tai hua soy sauce and chee seng sesame oil. then i got the green bean starch sheets!!!! u all dunno wat this is right.....dun tell u. shantungnese use it to make cold salad. feels like home!
oh, forgot to mention....i bought cherries...big ones..really yummy!!! it's $12 per kg. very nice. hmmm....maybe i shd ahve some more now.
there's a kinokuniya down at metro. no, their metro's not the same as our metro back home. it has got a better range of culinary bks there. i can't afford to buy, at elast for now.
the weather's bad today. so bad that i bought my sun screen. it became a must for me to get it.
btw, if u wanna call me at my hp, juz type 61 401, followed by my hp number. get it? i was told by my fren's aunt that u're not supposed to key in 02 0. hope it's not confusing u all.
tmrw i'll be heading for birkenhead point, the factory outlets are there. yes, tmrw's the lunar new yr's eve. my fren said, fly back home and then return to sydney. i'll still be in time for class. hahahahha...ya, she pay lah.
oh, i still miss my bus stop when i return home from the city. dunno why. no significant landmark. all the shops look the same to me.
i juz ironed my clothes. aiyo..i wish my maid's here to iron it out for me.....hate ironing!!!!
helen taught me how to make my own cappuccino. she poured the milk into a food processor then let it blend till it becomes frothy....classic!!!!
better than coffee bean, star bucks...btw, i drink very litle kopi here u know.
