happy valentine's day!!!! i almost forgot that tmrw's V day. luckily tuning in to power 98 now n the DJs talking abt V day. then i remembered that tmrw's the big day for all couples!!! btw, if u're still single, not dating anyone, dun be upset ok. think abt how those couples will be forking out unneccessary money on roses and falling for those costly dinners at restaurants. waste of money. respect, love and care for ur partner everyday and that is V day for all couples.
went to sch for theory lesson. funny you know. last week, my class didn't know that the lesson wld start at 9.30am and all of us turned up b4 9am. then the chef told us that this week, our lesson will start at half past 9. so i turned up at 9.28am and the clas has already started. then during the break, my class sat together and ia sked them wat time the class started and they said, they've no idea coz we all strolled in after 9.15am. damn!!!
i learnt that chefs must be witty, have gd general knowledge so that if our customers talk to us abt current affairs, we'll be able to "chat' with our customers. it will be good if chefs can talk very well. this was wat the chef told us in class today. i never knew that a chef must have this much abilities. indeed, it is compulsory for anyone in the service industry to be flexible and multi task, multi-skilled. wow...it's quite alot for a chef to cope. but i think this is super challenging. talking is not a problem for me, current affairs so so only but i must be able to observe my customers n be alert when i'm talking to them.
i'm ver impressed with the chefs in LCB so far coz they all seem to be hungry for more knowledge. every chef said that it's really wonderful to be able to know more and more. these chefs carry themselves so well and that is sthg i'll keep in mind. no wonder chefs here are much respected while back home, chefs are pple who drop off from sch or can't study then they can't do anything so they juz cook. that's why the industry's blacklisted in singapore! i ahte singapore for doing that!!! ir eally hate it!!! i wsih sometimes they'll juz blacklist doctors or any other preofession and then these pple will udnerstand how apprentices and chefs in singapore feel!!! pls, RESPECT CHEFS. and for chefs themselves, behave urself and respect urself.
ok, went to macquarie shopping centre after class. it's pretty big. didn't finish walking. will go bk again next time. free for the nest two days. gonna do my laundry and clean my room. tmrw i'll make chinese -style pickles for helen and paul. they liked it the first time i made it. then maybe make dumplings n go for a swim in the evening.
have a great weekend pals! i'll b heading for Manly beach this sunday. pray that it doesn't rain.
