i spent the whole day at home, doing my laundry and cleaning my room. prepared the dough for making dumplings and my shantung noodles tmrw. in the afternoon, i went to the ryde aquatic leisure centre for a swim. that's the place where the waterpolo games were held during the sydney olympics. it's ver expensive to swim there. i bought the 20-visit pass for $75. can only affod to swim twice a week. i know u must be thinking i'm crazy but i dun wanna regret in the later part of my life or pay more for my medical expenses by then. take care of urself when u're young to avoid pblms and illnesses when u're old. so start now!

it's amazing you know, there's this thing called the boom which is mobile in the pool. so the 50m long pool was demarcated at the 25m mark. think it was to cope with the crowd. there were quite a number of kids learning how to swim. they swim well, really well. now that's the way to nurture talents. anyway, i felt a little weird initially. the water was very cold. i thought it's heated but not that pool.
swimming 25m is sthg which i'm not used to at all. barely got the rhythem and then i've to touch and go. i swim faster. probab'ly did more that 30 laps. one lap for me is 50m so ur fren here had to swim like 60 times in the 25m pool. oh, the pool's deeper than the ones in singapore, 2.05m and it sure doesn't smell of chlorine. the toilets have hot water so i guess, that's where all my money went to.

now, my room is extremely clean and tidy. cleaned everything in my room, vacuumed it and shifted my empty luggage to another spot where it'll not block my way. feels good. beofre this, i ironed two loads of clothes. man, i feel like a maid.

tmrw's the last day of new year or is it today? anyway, i hope i will b ard for the rest of the CNYs. really miss the atmosphere. oh, i juz read the news that nus is gonna allow their students to bid for their courses online. hahhaa..might as well do the bingo style right. everyone sit in the university cul'l centre and gets anumber and wait for the draw. like that more fun.

from my place, i can always see planes flying ard. whenever i see one when i'm jogging or when i look out of the window, i feel like shouting out to the pilot to pick me up and send me home. i like where i'm staying but no where's better than home, my real home where i was born. i guess this is normal for international students. we yearn to go back to our families yet we enjoy our stay here.

living alone makes u more disciplined, more responsible. i like that. i want to be able to do things on my own. u can't afford tog et lazy. i realized that i really can't stop. even when i'm tired, i'll find sthg to do. helen told me that juz now. i am tired now. goodnite pals! enjoy ur weekend!
