it's supposed to be my laundry n miscellanous day but jean woke me up at 9.15am today!!! yes, she wanted to go to sch to get the sch to do up our forms for permission to work. well, i thought ok, might as well get it done. so went down to sch and there, i asked the person-in-charge, lindley abt my uniform. u remember my crisis??? hahahhaha...
i said, "lindley, i washed my tea towels with my unifrom and..."
"it turned pink", lindley replied. my jawed dropped when she said that!!!!
and i thought "haha! laurel's not the one goon who got her uniform from white to pink!!! btw, my home clothes which i soaked in bleach for an hr, are white now. hhahahhaaha... now i can laugh off the whole "crisis". really dumb lor.anyway, lindley said that i can still wear my uniform even tho the blue sch logo faded into a lighter blue.
ok, after that i went to immigration department to apply for my permit. man, it was crowded.
the highlight of the day was my dinner. i found the correct tofu. that day i bought the ones we eat for dessert. basket! dunnow at to do with it. i'll think of sthg. anyway, cooked myf avourite "vegetarian" dish. basically i fried bean curd sheet, with the firm tofu plus mushrooms, rice vermicelli, carrot, dried shrimps, garlic and chilli. steamed rice with my chinese sausage! oh i discoverd that helen bought me the chicken bones which i wanted. so nice of her right. it's a pity she cldn't eat the stuff i cooked tonight.
ok, i read the comments u guyz wrote. firstly, my bus concession nonsense. helen said that i dun get it coz it's subsidised by the govt and they use the ppl'e taxes to do that. great! i was thinking, i pay fees to LCB and i'm damn sure the aussie govt willt ax them. indiectly, am i not contributing to their taxes????
i hate this kinda nonsense. why is it that my fren who studies in brisbane, can get concession rates???? i think i'll ask my class abt this. those pple are more on. sekali we kick up too big a fuss and get deported back. hmmm.....then i've to go to japan to complete my course.
next thing is, i've to go down to the taxation office in town to get my TFN. then can get exempted from tax. actually i dunno how to look for a job.
tmrw i'll be doing nothing. no, i shd say, i'll be ironing my clothes. then maybe go buy some icing sugar and practise my writing on cakes. will try on a plastic surface first. i want to perfect that first. last time at coffee club, the chef told me that he practised every single day after work juz to perfect it. i beleive that practice brings abt perfection.
i've got the bus ticket that is cheaper than paying for single fares. it's 10 trips per card. but i'm really sore abt the fact that i dun get travel concession.
hehe, i can't believe that i'm on my way to being a chef. i love the kitchen. i really do. i am smiling to myself now. craziness?? almost abt to lose my sanity soon. hahahhaa. i'll find my own cash to see myself thr the cuisine diploma. today when iwas in sch, the superior patisserie class, made roses with marzipan i think and wrote happy valentines day. i crave for that day to come with i'm able to be able to write like them and design differnent patterns doing sugar work. took those students the whole 6 hrs to do that. wat a feat!
i wish pple will learn to respect chefs as they respect doctors, ministers and teachers. we sacrifice alot, take a lot of risks when working in the kitchen. gotta be extremely careful when i work. constantly on the alert. the commercial kitchen's a hazard. a slip might result in paralysis.
if i ever get a chance, i'll love to have this commercial kitchen 'showroom" where all of u can enter and see wat it is like. after maybe one round, u'll wanna run away. i'm not being funny here at all.
no matter wat, i'll do my best in my job and my course. i respect myself and my profession even if the rest of the world scorns at me.
