today has been a fruitful day. had lesson one and made scones. lovely they were! tricks of the trade were taught to us. guess wat? now i can make my own baking powder!
i also learnt how to make my own piping bag in which i fill it up with royal icing sugar and then write letterins with it. hahhaha...my hand shivered so much that i wondered if there's sthg wrong with it.
the chef's a nice man and my classmates are nice too. becoz we're a small class, we knew one another by the today. it was fun. we joked, talked. i never expected it to be so jovial. i even made fren with this american gal! her name's sondra. i think she looks like Pink. hahahaha...ya, maybe my eyes got pblm but both o us were corny at times. still, we chatted. it was enjoyable.
i took pics to p=myself in my chef gear early in the morning and one with the scones i made in the kitchen.
i think each of us made abt 70 scones and man...we had to lug it home. i think i'll buy some icing sugar to practice my writing.
tmrw we'll be maing madeleines and orange pound cake. it's a pity that the pple ard me are on diet. oh yes, helen brought me to her next door neighbour's palce and we gave them the scones i made. it was a nice gesture and at the same time, build a frenly relationship.
well, all good things gotta come to an end. one of my kitchen towels which i threw into the machine to wash, the colour ran off and all my other clothes got a new colour. the white ones turned pink and the blue one turned purplr. cool rite? the worst thing was my uniform. it turn a light pink and after i soaked into this powder, the sch logo (blue in colour) was lost. ok, that cost me $70. not bad right. i need to pay another $70 for a new one.
now i'm bleaching my other clothes. gonna check on them soon. poured abt half bottle of bleach. damn!!! i'm already tired but i can't sleep till i load the clothes into the machine for a wash.
