went to 'the rocks" again today. my fren will be woring in neil perry's restaurant, rockpool. the ebst thing was we walked past the restaurant without noticing it. yea, no signboard outside. juz on the glass in grey print, ROCKPOOL. how not to bypass it without noticing it???
maybe neil perry thinks that everyone shd know that that is HIS restaurant so no need for signboard. i snapped a pic of that. wait till u all see n gimme ur opinion. the interior was ok. nothing fantastic, at least from where i could see. black n white concept plus open kitchen which was pathetically small. there might be another one hidden at the back.
the staff there weren't too frenly. dun even smile at u except for the gal who talked to my fren. after that we went to this pancake palce nearby. its famous for pancakes. boy, after eating that, u'll never wanna eat any other pancake. dunno how on earth the pancakes i ordered has this 'springy" feel. i ordered the 'hot n troppo' pancake. two huge pancakes topped with cho ice cream, cho sauce, some cream, banana n walnuts. yum yum. of coz i didn't finish it. shared it with my frens. i snapped a pic of wat we ordered. it's worth the money.
couldn't get up to go for my morning swim. looks like i can only afford to do so in the weekend. sigh....can only jog ard this place. not too bad. ah, can walk more also.
hey! i'm intersted in chocolate now. i mean making it. it's really satisfying to see the end product. i've brought back home the choc we used in sch n will bring them back home to let u all see. i might temper it and fill it with ganache n let u all indulge. it's good stuff. the number one choc in the world. i have to emphasize that.
