another day of choux pastry. this time we made paris brest. it's like a huge donut n i mean really huge ones, abt 9-inch in diameter. then we sliced it horizontaly and filled it with hazelnut n frsh cream. it's deadly.
i made two of these large ones and 6 other smaller ones. ate one small one and didn't touch it anymore. gave one huge one to paul's bro, don. thye live near here. and some to my neighbour.

today the chef told us our marks from his daily assessment. i'm near 80 marks n i think it's somewhere near distinction. not d enuff but i didn't even expect that high score. dunno how he assessed us n when he did that.

i'll be heading down to Manly beach tmrw. prepared some olden jubilee chicken salad. got this recipe from nigella lawson. dunno how it'll taste.

i had steamed corn for dinner and soup. wat i did was is teamed the corn and the juice of it was boiled with water, onion, carrot and mushrooms for abt an hr. then i added in some crab sticks and finally some marinaded chicken slices. it turne dout well. i was surprised. recently i havne't much appetite for dinner so not many sumptous meals. well, u can stop drooling for some time.
