HALLO EVERYBODY!!! i am soooooooooo happy now!!! i modified a jap dessert!!! made it more oriental i guess. hahahha. well u guyz know at glutinous rice balls are right? well, imagine that without any filling. that's the jap's "tung-oh". it's coated with a sauce made from water, soy sauce n sugar. i liked it the first time i ate it.

however, juz now i tried to make them. the rice balls were fine. but the sauce...hmmm..tasted alittle funny. maybe too much soy sauce. already added more water but still...needed something else.

after dinner, i went back to work on it. decided that i shd add sesame seeds coz they reminded me of the sesame balls- deep fried ones. it's too alte for me to try to get the seeds to stick onto the rice balls but maybe i can put the sesame seeds into the sauce!
but but but...toast the seeds first. i made two batches of seeds, oen into powder form n the other juz the seeds alone.

manz....i've got a new version of "tung-oh"! woohoo~

finaly got to meet auntie margaret n her mum. learnt that they grew their own chillies n they've so much now so this sunday i'm going to her house to grab them home! hahhaa...can make more blended chilli.
auntie margaret didn't know that i was trying to look for dark couverture choc n she sid that near her house, this shop had an offer. for a bar of dark Lindt couverture choc bar, it cost only $17! ermm..not the small pathetic bar but the bigger ones for commercial use. told her to keep a lookout for me so that i can purchase some.
think i can buy some n start selling tempered choc. i juz enjoy tempering choc. maybe i shd specialise in it but then again, i like cooking too! never mind lah. why think so much abt it. juz make the best of wat i ahve here now.
