i juz got back from the gay parade. it's called mardi gras(silent s). cldn't get to the front to see clearlybut manged to catch glimpses of it. men in G-strings at this cool temperaure. must have been less than 20 degrees tonite. manz.. i regretted not bringing my jacket along. luckily didn't attmept to wear my shorts. really, 4 seasons a day in this place.
it's amazing how the aussie govt tolerates homosexuality here. i think it's good. there's nothing wrong. i mean, they dun harm anyone, do they? i'm not agst it. there was a big crowd. defintely an eye opener for me. i hope my pics turn out well. the gays and lesbains were spontaneous. nothing RA, a pity though. hahahhaaaa.
then my fren and iwent to starbucks to drink kopi. it's been a long time since i sat down in a coffee chain, drinking kopi with a fren. and before we went to watch mardi gras, we went to this vietnamese restaurant for dinner. well, i only ordered spring rolls coz not hungry enuff to have a bowl of noodles. tried my fren's noodles. she had beef noodles. it's nice. the soup's good. not too heavy and the beef's great. i must try to cook that beef soup.
altho i've been ehre for a month, this is my first time going to the city at night. yes, i know u dun believe me. it's nice to walk in the city at night coz it's cooling but i dun think i've that many chances to do that.
tmrw my frens and i will be going to the flemington mkt to shop shop. it's the same mkt which helen brought me to where u can get really cheap vege and a great variety to choose from. but on sundays, there's little vege sold. instead, we'll be able to find clothes, accessories, second hand goods there. sthg like pasamalam (did i spell correctly?) in sg.
hope i'll be able to wake up by 7.20am tmrw coz i wanna go for a swim in the morning first. u know i didn't know that it's autumn from today onwards until last night paul n helen talked abt it. no wonder this cool evening. i suspect that in apr n may the weather will be lovely for all singaporeans as u guys must be really envious of me enjoying this lovely weather here. come down lah!
