I learnt to poach fruits plus make a fruit log. A fruit log’s a big rectangular blk of jelly that has been filled with fresh fruits. Stupid. Total waste of time. whoever created this prob’ly ran out of ideas for desserts. The lessons was so boring that we were all eating the strawberries n blueberries, drinking apple juice n chatting with each other. Dunno wat the chef was up to lah.
I received a gift from my two gal frens. Every yr, they’ll celebrate my birthday. This yr, they sent me a sweater. I’m so touched. I realized that since yr 2000, they’ve given me stuff which I’ve been using to date. Infact they’re all with me now! I’ve an esprit pencil case, a wallet , a swatch watch n now a sweater. All here with me. I’m using all of them! Gee…they sure know wat to get. Thanks pals!!! I like the blue sweater but there’s a pblm. It can only b handwashed.
I’m close to making my own sambal. I say close coz it’s not there yet but also not far form it too. Hahhaa. I sued my blended chilli, added tamarind n sugar into it. fry all these tog in oil. Hmmmm…..i used it to fry prawns, eggplant n french beans for my dinner juz now. It’s nice.
Today’s st patrick’s day. some irish occasion. Supposed to drink stout as paul said. Anyway, it is a special day for paul n helen. It’s the day when they first met, that’s like 24 yrr ago. They broke their diet n had fish head curry, using salmon to cook it. I had a pkt of tau pok with me n I deep fried them. However, I stuffed silken tofu in it n sealed using a tempura batter before deep frying. Dun want the silken tofu to fall out while frying. It’s nice but I think enxt time I’ll pipe in other kinda fillings.
