Made more dessert stuff today. First, the fruit brulee, then the berry compote (used as a filling or topping in desserts). What we did was simply, cut up strawberries, n bananas n we dump them all into an aluminum tart container n we topped the fruits with freshly whipped cream (whipped manually, btw) n then put some brown sugar on it n torched it. I made 5 of that. Then in a deeper container, I did the same thing, but added more strawberries n blueberries n topped with cream but this time, I added the berry compote which we had to cook or rather, simmer with red wine, sugar, raspberries n other fresh berries. Wow..that looked terrific. It looked like a dessert from a fine dining restaurant. The chef kept saying that it’s beautiful. Oh, I was flattered. I didn’t try anything of that.
We also made baked apples with stuffing. Total waste of time. The orange n almond sponge was nice. So many things we made today. That’s why I’m exhausted. Moreover, we had to whisk everything incldg the sponge!
So tired that I find it hard to eat. Had some chicken salad juz now.
My exam’s on the first week of April. I hope I’ll do well. I can only give out my best. Wonder howz my bread doing in Singapore now.
Looks like a war is imminent. Innocent lives lost. Human beings never learn their lesson.
