made wholemeal bread and seeded bread. we were told to make 100%, 50%, 60% wholemeal bread. divided into 4 teams and at the end of the day, we saw for ourselves the differences in these bread. the most interesting bit was when the chef asked us why my wholemeal bread was lighter in colour than the other's team's bread. ah...learnt sthg. how bread companies can cheat consumers. by right, 100% wholemeal bread is dark brown in colour. but companies can use 50% wholemeal but dump in more sugar so that the final product is dark brown in colour. then they happily tell consumers it's 100% wholemeal bread. no wonder the chef said that the more we learn abt this trade, the more disgusted we'll feel.
my fren n i made lovely bread. think 1 or 2 of our wholemeal bread were taken by someone. we indicated on the bread our names. shit! my fren n i were kinda pissed. Anyway, I felt much better today. It was juz a bad day yesterday but it’s over. One thing I’m very sure is that I dun regret my decision. I know ths is the right job for me coz the more mistakes I make, the more I wanna set things right. I like the determination n perserverance.
Yes, nothing is smooth sailing esp’ly for pple who’re pursuing their dreams. There’ll always be obstacles but gotta confront them n get used to it.
long way to go. alot more things to learn. must learn to be more tolerant, more patient.
