woke up at 5.30am to watch tennis match. suffered in class. tried very hard to focus. we made bread rolls today. they were, needless to say, delicious.
its been a bad day. i'm slow in the kitchen. well, obviously right. firstly, pastry-making's not my forte. gabbing mixing bowls is sthg new to me. never done that in my entire life.
i was slow today coz i made 1.5 time of the recipe while other did juz one recipe. it was a late decision. my partner n i decided to make another recipe of the crusty rolls. bad move. chef said that i was slow today. well, of coz i was. how cna u compare me with the rest when i made more than them?
i was mad when some idiot turned off the steamer in the prover n my bread cannot rise to the max. does the chef know? no. no one bothered to turn on the steamer. no one.
i tht i was unfairly assessed coz the chef only saw the last batch of bread rolls my partner n i made. he didn't see the first batch. i had no space to put the hot bread rolls on my bench so i left them elsewhere.
in addition to that, i hate the chef for demonstrating to others while some of us are still mixng the dough. then he doesn't demo unless u call him over. but everyone wants him!
i'm tired n fed up. i am not aggressive in grabbing mixing bowls. quite hopeless.
i shd have worked for 2 yrs before i stepped in this sch n get my diploma. i've got serious thinking to do. my mum's reading all this. sorry mum. never knew that things wld turn out this way. i am learning stuff here. but i really am considering taking the superior course. i dun wanna waste ur money. i think i shd work after intermediate.
