Another feast we had! Easter leh so must celebrate right? Hehe. This time round, we had singapore, jap n thai food. beautiful!!
My thai fren made papaya salad for me. woooo…..yummy!!! I ate so much of that. Didn’t even eat the chicken I cooked. I have this thing for thai salads. So tasty!
After lunch, paul asked my frens if they wanted to sing. So my indonesian fren sang “tears in heaven”, “breathless” n a few others while paul played his guitar. We had a wonderful time n so did paul n helen. Everytime when I’ve this kinda feast at my place, I’ll make sure that they get to eat wat we’ve cooked. It’s international fare n I think they gotta try it. they enjoy the food n my fren’s singing. I’m happy coz they’re happy. helen even brought her camera down to snap pics of us.
I didn’t take any pics coz one of my frens had digital camera n so he was snapping away. I’llg et them via email n I’ll send them out to all of u. there’a pic of my huge char siu. Helen bought those pork loin usually used for roasting but that didn’t bother me at all. I made my char siu sauce n cooked with it. turned out well tho it took a longer time to cook coz it’s thick/. I prefer to use the thinner fillets coz it gets cook thoroughly. Everyone said that I cooked the chicken very well. thought that bit of blood (in the bones) scared them but they told me that it’s the “perfect” stage lor coz if I were to cook it longer, the chicken will be overcooked.
It’s freaking cold now. Tmrw not any better. sigh….i need the warmth from singapore.
