i had a good time at work today. the french couple was very nice to me. first thing they asked me this morning was if i wanted a cuppa coffee. altho i worked only for 4hrs, i liked the both of them plus their two kids. they're french n i told them that i can't understand a word of french so if they dun mind, teach me. yes, they did but i can't remember wat i've learnt. never mind, will try again on thursday.
anyway, i made shortbread, puff pastry n the bases for pies. the bread there is nice. i was told to help myself to the bread n coffee or any other drinks. i'm so lucky!
hey, this thursday i'll be trying to make chicken curry puffs. i've never done that in sydney. dun even know which curry powder to buy. think the madras kind is good. good luck to me on thursday.
tmrw my lessons will start again. . woohoo~ i'll be learning how to make inverted puff pastry. this means that the butter will be outside the dough. Doesn’t make sense right? Tmrw I’ll tell ya how it’s done.
Paul cooked sausage curry juz now. He didn’t use coconut milk at all. He used beef broth instead. it’s nice. Very mild kinda curry. My first time eating curry without coconut milk. Something new.
