i miss the heat in singapore!!!! no matter how hard it rains back home, it's never like this cold here. my fingers are stiff. only 17 degrees n i'm getting all the effects.
i watched the tv series "nanny". yes, i know it's an old program but i love fran drescher's nasal voice. they show it here on the kids channel from 9am to 5pm today. hahhahaa. i watched only from 1pm onwards. dunno why it's on the kids channel. then i watched soccer highlights. i tell ya....i miss those weekends where i stayedat home to watch EPL. here, it's cricket. sorry, me not a fan. but luckily there's quite abit of tennis here altho at odd hrs.
tmrw paul n helen have invited some guests over for lunch. my duty is to fix a fruit flan. yeah, not a pblm. the flan's done. juz need cream n fruits.
the lunch will be more traditional. n i must say that its really a little awkward for me to sit in n have lunch with all of them coz i dunno msot of them n dunno wat the hell they're talking abt too.
hey! u know wat? ir ealized that the rbead here (mass produced ones) aren't as sweet as our gardenia n sunshine bread loaves. well, they are't exactly that sweet but can taste that sweetness. i enjoy eating the bread here more than in singapore. u all better be carefu. dun eat too much of the sweet breads esp'ly those from breadtalk. the sugar content is very high. i'm not saying that u can't eat. juz dun eat so much. these days i've become more aware of wat i'm eating. perhaps that's why i could tell the sweetness in the rbead found here n in sg.
hot cross buns are sold everywhere now n i was surprised when i took my first bite n discovered that it wasn't even sweet at all. my mum juz told me that it's sweet back home. well, i'm not surprised by it. maybe the pple here are more aware abt the food they eat. sg still got some time to catch up.
ok, i hope i'll be able to discover more of these kinda differences in future. for now, take care!
