Nuch called me juz now from thailand to ask me when i'm flyin down to adelaide. she'll be there ard july 11th. it'll still be my break anyway. but i hate to travel during the hols. steep airfares. anyway, will decide on that later but i'm defintely flying down.
i dunno how i spent my day but it juz zzoomed by once again. went to sch this morning to borrow bks. on my way, i passed by the ryde civic centre where there's a library there so i popped by to have a look. sad. really sad. i miss the libraries in singapore. they are so much more comfortable.
i came home n watched tennis on tv all the way till 6pm. i had an interesting lunch. ate vege only. had cauliflower, carrot, celery n chinese cabbage. i made a sauce using tomato ketchup, maggie chilli sauce, a little thai chilli sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil n this dried seasoning for bbq n grill. this seasoning gives a little smoked flavour into the sauce. it's nice. u can try it. i didn't think of making this sauce before that. impromptu.
i went to the supermkt with helen after dinner. it's amazing that woolworth at top ryde closes at 12am on the eve of a public holiday. helen got a watermelon that weighed 7.6kg n guess the price?
$2.61!!!!! i'm not kidding. for that kinda watermelon in singapore. it'll probably cost me $10!!!! weird place.
the fridge is well stocked up now. better dun open it. hahahhaa....tmrw when jean comes her eyes might pop out again when she sees the fridge.
i wonder how is baobao now. she said that she'll eat rojak on my behalf plus all the other local food. of course, i had to thank her for helping me to eat.
there's no stop to the spreading of SARS. sigh....it's terrible. everyone's worried. our hospitality industry is badly hit. it'll be over soon. it will be.
