ok i've been offically promoted to intermediate patisserie. i was extremely happy today. woke up at 530am n went to sch at 9am to help out with the food prep for the cocktail party. i must say that i hate goat's cheese. the dishes were pretty interesting but i found it not to my liking. maybe half of the items made i tht were more edible. but defintely no goat's cheese. well, the cuisine chefs taught us abit abt salmon n he showed us a piece of 'salmon' fillet. it's not salmon he said. it's ocean trout but they had been farmed in australia. we were told how their backbones were crushed n their tails were cut... hmm...no wonder i dun like fish. they are murdered in the ugliest manner.

we finished off at abt 2.30pm n by then the cafeteria was close. i wanted to ahve some salad coz i had some leftover bread which they cut to put salmon on it. no choice. refused to eat more junk food so had to drink more tea so that i dun feel hungry. luckily the grad ceremony ended by 5pm. it was fun. we then had the cocktail party. the white wine was nice. i had two glasses n i actualy felt tipsy!!! my chef n my american fren were drunk ok. talking nonsense all the time.

then we went to baobao's place n nuch made my favourite vermicelli salad. it's the last time nuch prepared it coz she's elaving tmrw. i'm really sad. anyway, baobao classmates came over with two of the cuisine chefs to drink n eat. these pple can really drink! they buy beer by the cartons.

after we met up with her calssmates, nuch, jean, takako n i went down to the city where our classmates were singing their hearts out in a karaoke. my american fren was really drunk. she was like holding on to the microphone n doing all kinds of "rap". hahahhaa.
it was a good experience. first time the entire class went out together.

i came home at abt 12.30am. out for the entire day. but ir eally had an enjoyable time. tmrw will be a sad day for me as baobao n i will be sending nuch off. i dunno when i'll see her again. hopefully in july. i'm trying to fly down to adelaide at that time. never been there.

folks, i've with me my certificate 1. i another 12 weeks time, certificate 2 will be in my hands. i dunno wat my score is. well, wat matters most is i've learnt n can think like a pastry chef n not blindly follow recipes. it's tough to do that but it'll be in me as time goes by.
