started work at 7am today. managed to wake up at 6am. had a good day at work. i've never seen so many customers in the shop and my boss kept making baguettes and crusty loaves. i left at about 1pm and the rbead he baked all night and morning were almost all sold out. there were only 3 crusty laves and 2 baguettes left. amazing huh. the croissants were sold out by 11am. amazing. on monday i'll be making more croissants and puff pastry.
today i spent all my time making tarts. so it'll be enuff for next week. i wa happy doing that. and my boss asked me to take a pen and paper to copy down the recipes incldg the muffin one!!! yum yum! he told me tog et the email address from yasmina so that wherever i am in future n i need his help, just email him.
this is amazing. so far all the chefs i've met have been kind and generous. but these are the pple who told me not to divulge the recipes. wonder why they trust me so much. maybe it's my passion and attitude at work. chefs aren't stupid pple. they know whether u work with a passion.
oh, i also managed to copy down the real recipe for almond cream and the base for quiche lorraine. wat a fruitful day!
i think my boss and his family will be leaving in july. dunno to where but their visa here has expired n immigration does not allow them to stay longer. oh...the bread ...i'm gonna miss it!!! my boss had not told me abt this but i overheard his wife's conversation with a customer. managed to catch some key words. i might be wrong. hopefully miracle happens. i really wanna master making bread.
