exam's over!!!! i'm done with intermediate patisserie!!!
everything went smoothly for me today. the chocolate glaze on top of my opera gateau was smooth, no air bubbles! plus, the piping of the word 'opera' on the gateau was good, at least for my standard now.
i was happy with the whole thing. after exam, i went to takako's house n had spaghetti for lunch. well, it was raining cats n dogs today. basically just chill out at takako's place n we had some red wine, listened to music....that's life!!!
i went to my workplace to show my boss the gateau n he said that it's too high. the gataeu is supposed to be 2.5cm high. ermmm...mine was about 4cm??? but now i know. never too late to learn anything.
i came back home feeling tired. just lay on the bed n dozed off several times with my cd playing. feel good now but think i still need to sleep more. will have an early night later. but there's tennis!!! i'm quite sure i'll miss it.
this is gonna be a long entry...the last ten weeks were pathetic in terms of learning as u all know the chef i've got was superb in talking crap. anything but the course. everything i pored through culinary bks, i felt like i've wasted my mum's money. there's nothing i can do now but to put everything behind me n move on. it's hard but i'm trying. i look fwd to superior class coz it's gonna be a new chef.
3.5 mths to go before ir eturn home for good. it'll be hard to part with myf rens here esp'ly with takako. she's been a wonderful pal. i really enjoy her company.
