long day at work today. the morning was pretty quiet n ifel was alittle upset when his bread wasn't selling well. however, the customers streamed in jsut after lunch n by 4pm we had customers calling to reserve bread for them. well, all sold out. sorry!!!
a good piece of news to share with everyone. i was really happy for ifel n yasmina when someone named allen called from the sydney morning herald n asked to interview them on monday 9.30am. it's apity i won;t be there. but it's good for the business. ifel n yasmina were happy coz that meant it'll be easier for them to sell their business. ifel really hates australia.
ifel said that it's good for me too coz he'll write a reference letter for me by the time i end my work there n together with the newspaper article, it'll look damn good on my resume.
well, that's not my concern at all. i never even thought about that. i just thought that ife; deserves this recognition for all his effort n dedication. he trully loves his job even tho he complains about exhaustion. he complains coz he's frustrated with the customers who walk in to buy pies pies pies.
i really wanna stay on to help them out till the end of the year but it's impossible. i enjoy working for them n they appreciate my work too. it's perfect!!! ife's doing his best to train me to make bread. he's a gift from god to me.
made croissants today. after work, went for a swim. feel good now altho alittle tired. but the swim helped alot. that kinda tiredness is different. makes u feel fresher.
i asked ifel if he'll allow me to work on friday nite n he said sure. so happy!!!! that means i get to manage the oven n judge for myself if the bread's ready to be sent into the oven.
i feel like a baker. in fact, i am a baker. i dun want this dream to end.
