the weather here is erratic. i was all dressed in spring/summer clothes when the temp plunged n the wind was up again. shit!!!
but from next week onwards the temp will hit above 30 degrees.
i just made the sponge cake which takako taught me. think it's good. at least it looks gd. also, i brought back home with me my piping bag n tube. i've cream at home so was practising piping rozettes. am gonna decorate my gateau with rozettes. dunno how to explain rozettes to u all but when i sell my cookies when i return home, it'll be piped that shape.
i'm really proud of myself when i was piping the rozettes. when i was in basic n intermediate, i couldn't pipe it nicely. but just now i held onto the piping bag with ease n comfort. think that kinda "feel" is crucial.
found out today that i can collect some money under tax refund. but i've to wait for 4-6weeks. dun think i can get it before i leave. this is australia. bloody inefficient state. if i go to the post office n request for express mail, i've to pay A$20 n i'll get my money in 14days' time. spoke to takako's landlord just now n she said that i shd just pay them the 20 bucks n get my money. sounds gd to me.
i tried the rhubarb tart which takako made at her workplace. this tart is also sold to qantas. i must say that it's not bad. but nothing that special either. however, the crust was the best.
since yesterday i've been tired. brands essensce of chicken didn't work at all.
hey! i'm thinking of having a party on christmas day or the eve. dunno why this sudden thought. mayb i just wanna cook.
