i went for the interview at raffles hotel. they got back to me the next day n iw ent to see the exec chef n the pastrychef the following day.
during my interview with the pastrychef, he asked me if i had been to SHATEC n i said no. i saw his expression n ias ked him if that mattered n he said no, but he thought that SHATEX students are very poor, lacking in motivation. remember, the HR manager in conrad compared me with SHATEC. my god.... but still, i dun think every student from shatec lacks in motivation. there must be some good ones tho not many.
anyway, the pastrychef said that they didn't have a position for me but he'll go n talk to management n try to convince them to take me in. told me that he'll call back in a week's time.
barely a week later, he got back to me. today, he rang me up n told me that i was accepted. hmmm...at that point iw as still busy baking. too tired to even ask himw at exactly will i be doing. he just told me that he'll get HR to liase with me tmrw.
i'm not that excited anymore coz of my bad bad experience at conrad. yet, i know it's only in 5-star hotel that i can get to see more things. i thinkr affles pastry kitchen is bigger than conrad's. it handles so many outlets within raffles.
will update this site on this issue once there's more progression.
i've been baking n selling cookies. so much cookies n cakes that it's become a toil. yeah, i'm so tired now. i wanna make different things to sell but i can't. only one oven. hehe, me no david copperfield.
