i'm now officially part of the pastry team at raffles. signed the letter of appointment this morning.
after raffles, went bk to conrad to return my stuff. HR conducted an exit interview n asked me for my feedback. well, i said alot. the first thing i mentioned was abt job allocation n when i told the HR manager about that, she was shocked. n she said that it's the organization's pblm, not my fault. i told her that the job shd be rotated if they want pple to stay on. there must be sthg wrong when 5 pple left in 5 weeks. it's ridiculous. after i told her this, the HR manager asked me if i've found a job n i said yes, at raffles. she asked me if i had accepted their offer n i said yes. she went on to say that raffles' pastry team has enuff manpower n i agreed with her coz that was wat the pastrychef told me but he told me he'd try n convince management to take me in which they did. the HR manager said "they want you that's for sure." as i said before, i'm not that excited abt raffles n i expressed this to her. all thanks to this nitemare at conrad. at one stage during the interview, i broke down. the truth is i'm very sore about this - my first job's a complete mess but i still love the kitchen. i still like the chaos in the kitchen. i've gotten into the groove of things in a pastry kitchen in the hotel. well, things cannot run smoothly all the time.
i think the HR pple were waiting for one of us from the pastry dept to complain abt the sous chef n i did that. not sthg i'm proud of but really, he doesn't deserve any respect. i can't respect anyone who starts kicking the bin n says the f-word when he's stressed up. he's stressed coz he talked too much n did little things. the HR manager told me that she needed a name n she suspects it's this guy but no one has brought it up.
