pissed!
that was wat i felt for half the day yesterday. 25th sept was a day i was looking fwd since aug 23rd. my NZ tour grp members had a bbq yesterday n we confirmed the date way back in aug. very on man this grp of pple. iw as very happy yesterday coz i was in the morning shift n i thought i cld leave at 3pm since i went in to work at 7.30am. guess wat time i left? 7pm! f*#k!

my boss asked me to churn goat's cheese sherbet at 3pm n it was damn hard to churn coz there was not enuff sugar nor fats to allow for proper churning. so the sherbet was frozen on the side but liquid on the inside. had to scrape it down from time to time n let it defroze abit before is tart ed the machine again. took me 1.5hrs to churn that shit. then had to churn nougat ice cream n then pipe the sherbet into martini glasses. did the plating for the dessert for the VIP set dinner vbefore i ciao.

u know i was pissed not at my boss, rather, at my colelagues. those in banquet team. my junior sous chef (JSC) n my other colelague helped another colleague to cut her 8 trays of macademia crunch bar. bloody shit! everyone kenw i had a bbq at night n i was rushin home to fry bee hoon first before going for the bbq. can u believe it? they helped this other gal but not their own team mate??!!! 3 pple to cut 8 fucking trays of crunch bar n they all knew i was rushing off. moreover i worked so damn bloody early oredi! it's not my fault that i didn't get my day off approved by my boss yesterday. i wrote it down on the board since august. why is it that my JSC can go on leave at the busiest time n i can't get one day off on a day with two pathetic functions????

if my JSC can help his wife to cut her 8 trays of crunch bar, why can't he help me? aren't we a team? u know wat he did the whole morning? he baked 30 scones n then cooked a litre of custard, disappeared for almost two hrs to go n cut a wedding cake. ple\ase...when we need to cut any cake, someone will call down n tell us to go up. that's the way it works at raffles. he doesn't need to wait there for two fucking hrs! my blood's boiling as i'm typing.

my tour grp mates were all there at 5pm. i was only there for an hr plus. they were nice to me but i felt very bad. altho i came with a huge tiramisu ( not made me), it was my desire to be there n spend more time with my grp mates than just be there for an hr plus.

pple, i dun mind if i've to stay on coz we're busy. but if we have two other pple who were sof ree to help someone's wife to cut her crunch bar....wldn't u be mad? where are ur priorities? u cld have told the chef that u wanna churn the sherbet n ice cream. the chef thought that i'm the only "free" person around to help him!

god, u're so unfair!
