spainish cuisine

had spainish fare last night with my primary sch mates. the restaurant's in clarke quay. hmm....to think that i dun even know the name of it cause i was only looking fwd to the paella. paella is a must eat in spainish cuisine. it's seafood rice served in a frying pan. the rice has saffron n it is saffron that makes the rice yellow in colour. exactly the same as tumeric. however, saffron's super ex. the paella tasted good but i dun think the rice was cooked with saffron. it was orange red in colour. for $32, the portion was sufficient for the 3 of us. very worth it. we also had stir fried mushrooms with olive oil n garlic n some baguette. that was filling!! shd go back there again.

yesterday i spent a few hrs at work cuttin n baking sable. it's like a butter biscuit. i didn't like that recipe but well, no choice, it's in the new menu. i realized how patient i am working on doughs. my colleague told me that i could simply silently work on my own in the room for a few hrs. didn't talk to pple. jsut worked cuase the dough was hard to handle. hmmm....brought back memories of wat my ex boss at raffles said to me. u're a very patient person. i laughed off when he told me that. told him that he was soooo wrong. i thought iw as impatient. i've to confess that i was wrong. thanks boss!

anyone wants me to get anything from hk or china?
